From the President

Dear Members, Sponsors, Patrons and Friends, On behalf of the Board of

Directors and Executives of the Ghana-Houston Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a happy and prosperous New Year in 2019.

The Chamber is grateful for your participation, contributions, volunteering and sponsorship of our activities over the last few years. We could not have achieved much without your trust in, and commitment to our vision of fostering business between Ghana and the city of Houston, and ultimately for the United States as a whole.

The Chamber made tremendous strides under the excellent leadership of the immediate past chairman, Mr. Solomon Tamakloe. It was under his leadership that we saw the largest participation for our flagship event: an annual banquet in honor of the Ghanaian delegation to the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) held annually in Houston in May. The 2017 and 2018 events were attended by more than 200 guests, sponsors and members. Our overriding goal remains to create business opportunities for individuals and companies in our network, and we are confident such events help provide a valuable platform.

While we have achieved a great deal, there's still a lot of work ahead. Our next chapter is devoted to working even harder and efficiently to realize the Chamber's collective goal.

It is our priority to add long-term value to the work these companies do in different parts of the world, especially in Ghana, where GHCC has become a key business conduit for several agencies, government institutions and private companies.

As we embark on a promising journey in 2019, our expectation is to strengthen the partnerships we have created, continue to align our efforts and explore new frontiers of collaboration, and increase our membership base. We are confident of a successful year and we count on your continued support to make all this possible.
